My Little Cinema :-)

Free 2D Animation Software

Why this app?

- friction (ex enve) animated images are blurry https://github.com/friction2d/friction/issues/222

- natron: doesn't deal with animated images the way I'd like

- Pencil2D: doesn't deal with animated images the way I'd like

- Adobe Animate and other 2D animation softwares are paid or have subscription plans and may still not suit my needs

- hence my Little Cinema app ;-)

QUICK TUTO:

THE BACKGROUND:

- you choose the background color and alpha

THE ACTORS (images, sequenced images, shapes):

1- you activate an actor using its checkbox

2- you choose its position, scale, z-order, ...

THE TIMELINES:

1- you activate a timeline using its checkbox

2- you choose the source (actor) of the timeline (src)

3- you choose the duration of the timeline (rng)

4- you choose the starting and ending position

5- you create/update the timeline (create)

THE NAVBAR:

1- you can use the navbar to play your little cinema, export to png files, ...

2- the images are saved in "yourusername/pictures/mylittlecinema/" folder

TIPS:

- use the mouse wheel on the right side of the app to zoom in and out

- press Ctrl and click a value to edit it

- press Alt while dragging a value to slow it down

- press Shift while dragging a value to speed it up

- you can drag and drop colors (between tabs too!)
